Originally from the Paso Robles, CA area Blake grew up in a burgeoning wine region. However, his path to wine would not come until years later. After attending UC Davis and Cal Poly Blake chased his life's dream of playing golf professionally. He played on the Canadian tour as well and other mini tours for several years. Blake was introduced to wine once he moved back to Paso Robles as the Assistant Professional at Hunter Ranch golf course. He then started his wine career working in tasting rooms, he then moved to wine production full time in 2015. Blake moved to Walla Walla in 2021 to work as the Assistant Winemaker at Revelry Vintners. He then left for an opportunity to make wine in Chateauneuf du Pape, FR with his friend Baptiste Grangeon at Domaine de Cristia. Following this experience Blake joined the team at echolands in 2025 bringing with him experience in producing over 25 varietals from 26 different AVA's and 2 countries. When not working, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife visiting wine regions both in the US and in Europe. While at home in Walla Walla, you can find him watching sports, hiking, going to concerts and of course golfing.
