A green glass bottle of 2024 Riesling wine from White Rock Vineyard, Ancient Lakes, with a black and green top label featuring a topographic map design.

riesling white rock vineyard

  • This is our first Riesling, but it won’t be our last. We love the acidity we were able to retain from this cool climate vineyard and its highly calcareous soils. We fermented and aged the wine in concrete and then bottled it medium-dry, honoring the balance that exemplifies Riesling’s unique ability to be light, flavorful, fruity and still bracing.

  • 100% Riesling

grenache Rosé

  • Expressive on summer fruits of ripe strawberry and yellow nectarine, this rosé of Grenache goes deep on texture, owing to fermentation and aging in a Concrete Tulip. Aromatically, orange peel, melon, and wet stone lead the way, with sensations of citrus oil and angostura bitters on the palate. Fleshy, fully textured, and savory, the rosé displays layers of texture into the finish.

  • 100% Grenache

A wine bottle with a green foil cap and a colorful, abstract map-style label reading 'Echlands' and 'Cinsault 2024' from McKinley Springs Vineyard.

cinsault

  • Cinsault can make a delightful light red wine, given its lighter contributions of tannins and pigment. Showing here as lighter in body than Pinot Noir, we can appreciate its raspberry, bright strawberry, and Earl Grey tea aromatics, with silken and refreshing play on the palate. Notions of hard candy and red licorice accent the brightness of this wine. We recommend serving slightly chilled, 55-60° Fahrenheit or so. A few minutes in the fridge will do. Drink this young like you would a white or a rosé for the freshest expression of fruit.

  • 89% Cinsault, 11% Syrah

BUY
A black wine bottle with a colorful, swirling abstract label featuring the name "Echolands" and details "2024 Cinsault Semi-Carbonic." The bottle has a green cap.

cinsault Semi-carbonic

  • We blended a carbonic-macerated Cinsault with a traditionally fermented Cinsault, to create a style that harnessed the wild, fruity and candied aromatics of the former and the deeper texture of the latter. The result is wine with intense aromas of ripe strawberry preserves, red licorice and some tropical notes, with a palate showing luscious raspberries, violets, and bergamot. Light on its feet, soft in its tannins, and preternaturally bright, this wine shows best with a slight chill on it. We recommend you pop this 2-3 years after vintage at most to enjoy while it is young and fresh.

Rocksy Music Grenache

  • While the name references a seminal band, it also describes the aromatic intensity from the rocky district of this wine’s origin. Our intention is to allow the smoky wildness of those stones to be heard but also to provide more of a harmony to the alluring melody of bright, strawberry-tinged Grenache fruit.

walla walla grenache

  • Rivière-Galets Vineyard:

Rivière-Galets Vineyard is in the Rocks District of Milton Freewater AVA (the stony portion of the Walla Walla Valley), and its head-pruned vines are low to the ground, soaking up all the heat those river-smoothed pudding stones radiate in the summer sun. Some producers leave their Grenache grapes to ripen to a surprising degree in that sauna-like environment, but we pick far sooner than the rest, with the goal of preserving acidity and keeping the wine's flavors fresh and bright. This Grenache was aged exclusively in 60-gallon stainless steel drums.

    Les Collines Vineyard:

Les Collines Vineyard is justly famed for its ability to produce vibrant but elegant Syrah. We work with several blocks of Syrah within Les Collines Vineyard with the goal of blending the different blocks to create our vineyard designate Les Collines Syrah.

RUBRUM

  • Founded in 2017, Echolands represents a dedication to the particular soils of Walla Walla Valley, where bony basalt, rock piles and layers of loess intermingle.

Our Bordeaux-style blend seeks to balance these differing elements. Our goal is to harness those characters, highlight aromatics, retain acidity and balance, and to create wines that grow in complexity with time.

CABERNET FRANC

  • With the success of our Blue Mountain Cabernet Franc, we continue to lean into our entire Cab Franc program. This wine is based upon Blue Mountain Vineyard fruit, as much as two-thirds of the overall blend, as well as Cab Franc from our own Taggart Vineyard. As well, we've blended in 18% Merlot, also from Taggart Vineyard. Though the vineyards are only about 10 miles apart, the grapevines thrive in two very different climatic conditions. Taggart is warm and dry, like most Walla Walla (and Washington) wineries, and that portion of the wine is round and generous. Blue Mountain Vineyard is in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, and is cooler and wetter, so that portion of the wine expresses the cooler site character of lavender, rose petal, herbs and blue and red fruits. We think it's a lovely combination.

A dark glass bottle of Syrah wine with a colorful label that features a topographical map design. The label reads 'Echolands,' '2022,' 'Syrah,' and indicates it is from Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla Valley.

SYRAH

  • Our commitment to Walla Walla Valley is steadfast; our block of Les Collines Vineyard is here supplemented by fruit from the stonier areas of the Walla Walla Valley. Our preference for only light amounts of new oak had to accommodate the richer Syrah style that the "stones" produces, but we stayed true to our use of only 500L French puncheons.

Our PoÉT-Nat is 100% Cabernet Franc and was harvested early in order to retain its acidity. Fermentation began in stainless steel then transferred to bottle to complete fermentation. The wine remained on the lees for a total of seven months before disgorgement to retain a delightfully sparkling personality.

Three bottles of Echolands 2024 Sauvignon Blanc wine from Taggart Estate Vineyard.

sauvignon blanc lower dry creek block

  • Displaying the Sauvignon’s more savory and mineral-driven personality, this wine spouts wet stone, flint, struck rock, and rye grasses. As secondary notes, D’anjou pear and apricot bring a layer of fruit to the rock party. On the palate, the wine presents a beautiful structure. Racy acid, polished phenolics, and some shaping from ageing in barrel all contribute to a wine with serious length, drive, and a layered mouthfeel. Through the midpalate and the finish, flavors of citrus, yellow peach, and tangerine skin mingle with an unmistakable impression of wet stone.
